Welcome to Skywalker's Presentation

Change the Way You Travel
Firstly, I would like to briefly share with you our presentation. We were working on a proposal of changing the way National University of Singapore (NUS) population travels. My team, Skywalker would like to introduce National University of Singapore Excellence Unit (NUSEU) our new Skywalker Walkway System, which connects people from destinations to destinations, walking along the Kent Ridge Road. A brief illustration of our Skywalker Walkway System can be seen in the photos shown above.
My team did a fantastic job in our presentation, using a number of presentation skills we identified from Co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, who does amazing presentations of his products. We hope that our audience were fascinated with our Skywalker Walkway System, especially the add-on feature of the Slides. Calvin started off our presentation, confidently and enthusiastically, while Wang Chen gave an interesting introduction of the current issues of the NUS internal shuttle bus. I presented on our proposed solution, highlighting on the features of our Skywalker Walkway System. Calvin ended off the presentation, leaving a vivid impression on our audience.
I felt that I could have the potential to do a better job if I was much more confident at that moment. I was very enthusiastic with my proposal and was overwhelmed with many informations that I would like to share with NUSEU, which may have affected the speed of my presentation. I enjoyed the moments of my presentation as I could observed that my audiences were captivated by our proposal and listened attentively to our presentation. Overall, I was satisfied with my presentation as I believe that I presented my informations in an entertaining manner.
Lastly, I would like to mention some of my thoughts on my Questions and Answers Section. I was disappointed with how I answered my first question, as I could have answered it by looking at another angle. However, I picked up myself with the subsequent answers, which I felt that I did a good job in providing the necessary informations.
I would to take this opportunity to thank a number of people, my teacher, Ms Lim, my classmates, Berwyn, JunXiong, Wan Ting, Sheau Shiuh, Yongwei, Dayang, Melvis, Jonathan, Hu Xuan, Xiao Xing, and my team mates, Calvin and Wang Chen. Without all the above people I mentioned, I would not have such an amazing presentation experience, thank you very much...
Hi Lynette,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your reflection!
Indeed your team's presentation was a presentation that many of us would remember - it was easy to understand and highly persuasive.
I could tell that you and your team members were very committed to this suggested solution, and you were definitely enthusiastic about the wonderful idea you were going to share - which definitely bolstered your team's credibility (though I feel that the idea of the slide was somewhat stretched, and not quite relevant to the 'walkway system' your team proposed).
Your team handled the Q&A session fairly well, though I somehow get the impression that not much emphasis had been put on the Q&A session during the preparation? If indeed that was the case, this could be an area to work on for your future presentations. If the Q&A session was handled excellently, it could potentially seal the deal for your team.
I'd also like you to be more aware of the projection from the projector. Don't block the screen, and don't stand in the way of the projection of the image. Also, uh hum, call me old-fashioned but I found your skirt a little on the short side - it fell 2-3 inches above the knee. Preferably no shorter than 1 inch above the knee would be more appropriate in this instance.
All in all, a job well done, Lynette! Thanks for the effort!
Hi Ms Lim,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments! It is very heartwarming and encouraging to me, as well as my team, I believe, that we have made a lasting impressing on the audience. The slides were meant to bring the X factor to our proposal though it maybe slightly unrealistic.
I did noticed from my video that my face was caught by the projection lighting, I will definitely take note of it in future. I will take note of the length of my skirt next time as well, and no, you are not old-fashioned, it is much more of appropriateness. :)
Thanks for all that you have done for our class these 13 weeks!!! It has been a great and enriching experience!
Hello!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your team's presentation and I thought it was really creative to come up with that concept and it was excellent.
I think you managed to make use of the skills that we learnt in class and apply it to the presentation. Although you appeared to be a little nervous, I think you managed to remain your composure very well and allow yourself to continue with the presentation, not only smoothly, but confidently as well.
I also think that as a whole, your team made an lasting impact in audience and to be honest, I can still remember a large part of your team's presentation even now. I believe it is due to the the extremely effective use of visuals and demonstrations.
All in all, it is an excellent job and an awesome effort! =)
